Suitable for everyone, these classes are ideal for beginners as well as those wishing to refresh or deepen their meditation practice.
The next topic is Stress Free Living.
Stress is a very common issue in modern daily life. We all have such busy lives, so many responsibilities, so much pressure to contend with. So much of this stress and tension we normally experience comes from our mind, and many of the problems we experience, including ill health, are caused or aggravated by this stress.
In this introductory level class series, learn three simple ways to release the tension and build perspective and peace within your mind. Be guided in breathing meditations and gain confidence to engage in a regular practice of your own. Learn how to work with uncomfortable thoughts and feelings as they arise and regain your power to be at peace whatever occurs. Learn to reframe your relationship with challenging situations so you are no longer in conflict with them and can deal with them most constructively.
This series is open to everyone seeking to take the pressure off and start the autumn term in a peaceful positive way.
Each class includes 2 guided meditations, a practical teaching, and time for questions.
Meditation is done seated in chairs.

THE TEACHER
Gen Tubchen is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Edinburgh. She is a Buddhist nun with 25 years of experience teaching mainly in the Nordic Region and Scotland. An inspiring and gifted teacher, she is admired for her clear, powerful and practical teachings which touch the hearts of listeners.

TRAVEL
The venue is located on Abercrombie Street Camelon, when leaving the main street, you will pass the Copper Top on your left hand side.
Turn first left after Copper top. Pass Camelon Day Nursery, we are the next turning on your left.
The community centre has a car par at front of building off Nailer Rd and another at back of building off Abercrombie Street
Please be considerate of the neighbours and refrain from parking in the resident car parks. Thank you.
