UNDERSTAND YOUR MIND
finding happiness from a different source
A 4 WEEK SERIES WITH Kelsang Varahi & CATHERINE MARRIOTT
DUNDEE | MARCH 5, 12, 19 & 26 | WEDNESDAYS 7-8.15PM
This series of classes follows on from the Public talk ‘The Science of Happiness’ happening at Kadampa Meditation Centre in Edinburgh on Tuesday 25 February with visiting Senior Kadampa Teacher, Gen Lekma.
Our mind is with us 24 hours a day every day. It can make us laugh or make us cry. It can cause us to love. It can cause us to hate. It can lead us to bliss or plunge us into sorrow. It can make us happy and destroy that same happiness in an instant. Like a balloon in the wind, we just don’t know where it is going or what is coming next. Truth be told, we barely know what it is!
We need to start thinking outside the box, get the bigger picture. What exactly is our mind? How does it work? And how can we control it? In this course Gen Wangmo will explain how to understand our own mind from the perspective of Buddhist psychology and to experience it’s nature and function by learning a set of powerful meditations focusing on the mind itself. From this clearer perspective our life becomes happier, more balanced and we feel more in control of our inner state and increasingly at peace no matter what life brings.
