From local to global – 2020 for Kadampa Meditation Centre Edinburgh
KMC Edinburgh has spent 2020 joyfully streaming Kadam Dharma (Buddha’s teachings) across the world – and closer to home as well.
For many people in many countries this has been a year of difficulty, sadness and unease but we have tried to show that adversity can be transformed into hope, to keep that possibility alive in people’s minds. With a good Kadampa heart, modern technology and the inspiration of our beloved Spiritual Guide, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, we found an unprecedented opportunity to bring some peace, happiness and solace into this world.
Our work across the world has depended on the kind and continued support of the wonderful Kadampa community in Edinburgh, our dedicated managers and our remarkable teacher, Gen-la Kunsang, who continues to astonish us with her energy and enthusiasm. They have not only created a series of wonderful Dharma festivals and Celebrations with blessed empowerments across four continents but at the same time maintained a full teaching programme for the people of Edinburgh. An incredible achievement.
We wish a peaceful and happy Christmas time to all our dharma friends in Europe, Africa, Mexico, Asia (Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia) and around the world – and of course in Edinburgh. We pray that all our efforts will ripen as the flourishing of Kadam Dharma and lasting world peace. Thank you everybody.
So, to all the countries we have visited this year: Frohe Weihnachten, Buone Natale, Shengdan kuaile, UKhisimusi omulhe, Geseende Kersfees, Le be le keresemese, Krismesi emnandi, Feliz Navidad and Nollaig Chridheil.
From KMC Edinburgh to everybody, everywhere, have a joyful, loving and peaceful Christmas.
