So much of the stress and tension we normally experience comes from our mind, and many of the problems we experience, including ill health, are caused or aggravated by this stress.
Kadampa Meditation offers more than just calming our mind and learning to relax and let go of stress, discouragement and pain feelings. It equips us with wise thinking habits that that actually start to reduce and eliminate the causes of our fears, pain and problems which lie within our mind.
During February, in our meditation course, we will be exploring simple meditations and special ways of thinking, that everyone can learn to practice that will help us to think well and feel well in ourselves. In this way we can live happy, meaningful lives, and become of great benefit to those around us.

THE TEACHER
Chammy teaches the weekly Peebles class. She is originally from Sri Lanka and has been practising Kadampa Buddhism in the west for many years. Chammy draws from her experience as a working medical professional and mother of three to transmit Buddha’s teachings in a way that can easily be integrated into busy modern life. An experienced student studying the Foundation Programme, Chammy teaches occasional courses and events at the Centre and within the Scottish Borders. She is known for her kind heart, discerning wisdom and the clarity she brings to her teachings.
