Learn to meditate
Establishing a regular meditation practice can seem overwhelming at first. Do I need any special equipment? How long should I meditate for? What’s the goal exactly? What about those apps – are they any good?
Get the answers to all these questions and more at our Learn to Meditate workshop. Buddhist nun Gen-la Kunsang will teach proven strategies for calming the mind, reducing stress, and finding peace wherever you are.
Gen-la Kelsang Kunsangis the principal teacher at Kadampa Meditation Centre Edinburgh. She is highly experienced, well-respected and has been a close disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for more than 25 years.
She is also the National Spiritual Director of Italy, Austria, Switzerland and South Africa and teaches at National Festivals.
She has won the admiration and affection of many students through her pure example and loving-kindness.
Her teachings are powerful and clear.

Thank you for all the wonderful teaching and friendship you have given us this year.
Looking forward to learning more (and trying harder) in the new year.
No question, just really enjoying listening to Gen-la’s enthusiasm and wisdom. Many thanks
Who we are
As a registered charity KMC Edinburgh has been benefiting the people of Edinburgh and the East Coast for over 20 years providing authentic and practical meditation courses across the region.
In 2018 we moved to a new premise on Leith Walk, creating a beautiful meditation hall, cafe and bookshop, providing a dedicated space for the development of inner peace. We continue to offer our support through online activities, but we hope you may visit us here and experience the stillness and peace of this special place, dedicated to world peace.
