Take a break from city stress and discover the power of inner peace. In this relaxed afternoon retreat, you’ll be guided through a series of simple meditations designed to help you deeply unwind, let go of negativity, and experience a more positive, connected way of living.
Kadampa teacher Kevin Thomson will share practical wisdom and meditations rooted in Buddhist teachings — approachable, insightful, and ideal for everyday life. You’ll learn how to:
- Ease tension and calm your busy mind
- Let go of unhelpful habits of thought
- Improve relationships through cherishing others
The retreat takes place in a peaceful venue right in the heart of Leith walk — no need to travel far to enjoy deep rest and renewal. Between sessions our friendly cafe is open and you can discuss the topics with others on the course.
Perfect for beginners and anyone wanting to experience the power of meditation in a warm and welcoming setting.

THE TEACHER
Kevin has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism for many years. A busy father and a sincere student on Foundation Programme, Kevin is appreciated for his insightful and practical approach in putting Buddha’s teachings into practice in daily life. His honesty, warmth and clear presentations make his teachings and meditations enjoyable and inspiring for everyone.
