During current conditions many people are experiencing unprecedented difficulties and problems. In the face of rapid change, uncertainty and confusion, stress and worry arise in the minds of both employers and staff and heightened levels of anxiety are prevalent.

To meet the needs of these changing times KMC Edinburgh’s Meditation @ Work Programme has gone online. Read on to discover how we can support your organisation.

Finding solutions

Many people are looking at different ways of dealing with stress and negative thoughts.

One way that is guaranteed to reduce both stress and anxiety is meditation.

Meditation functions to make our mind more peaceful and calm. When our mind is peaceful we are free from worries and mental discomfort and experience a natural happiness. Using mindfulness, we carry these positive experiences into our daily lives, creating new mental habits that allow us to respond in a more healthy and constructive way to the difficulties we encounter.

Online meditation & Mindfulness courses

Our Meditation @ Work Programme consists of a variety of 4-week courses covering the basics of meditation.

Carefully crafted, each course applies different meditation techniques to problems people are commonly experiencing at this time.

Course 1:  Learn to Meditate – the basics

We recommend starting with this first course ‘Learn to Meditate’ and then choosing from any of following:

Course 2:  De-stress – find peace of mind

Meditation is one of the best ways to cope with difficult circumstances

As a registered charity KMC Edinburgh has been benefiting the people of Edinburgh and the East Coast for over 20 years providing authentic and practical meditation courses across the region.

In 2018 we moved to a new premise on Leith Walk, creating a beautiful meditation hall, cafe and bookshop, providing a dedicated space for the development of inner peace. For now we continue to offer our support through online activities, but we hope in the future you may visit us here and experience the stillness and peace of this special place, dedicated to world peace.

The source of the advice given

Modern Buddhism

Buddha’s most profound insight into the nature of the mind remains as revolutionary in our modern world as it was 2500 years ago:

the mind is the source of all happiness and suffering. All of it.

In our courses, this is what we learn – in a very practical way. So that through meditation, we can cultivate authentic happiness, and actualize our greatest potential, and help others do the same.
