HOGMANAY CELEBRATIONS WITH MEDITATIONS FOR WORLD PEACE
Bring in the new year with a happy and peaceful mind
New year is a time for reflection and of moving forward. It is a time for change and for wanting to improve on the year that has passed. With this in mind, we celebrate the last day of this year by coming together to be inspired and using the power of our mind to meditate on the development of peace in our life and our world. The evening will include a short talk and guided meditation followed by a bring and share vegetarian buffet and rounded off with a special chanted meditation and mantra recitation of Buddha Avalokiteshvara the Buddha of compassion.
Schedule:
8.00 – 9.00pm Reception & Mocktails
9.00 – 9.45pm – Short talk and guided meditation
9.45 – 11.30pm – Vegetarian Buffet To Share
11.30 – 12.15pm – Chanted meditation and recitation for world peace
12.15 – 12.30am – Toasting in the New Year
Non alcoholic drinks will be provided.

THE TEACHER
Gen Kelsang Wangmo has been studying and practising Kadampa Buddhism and ordained as a nun for over 20 years. Loved for her gentle and joyful approach and her sincere example, Gen Wangmo’s lighthearted yet profound teachings provide practical wisdom for modern daily life.
