the optimistic realist
HALF-DAY COURSE
SATURDAY 5 APRIL | 2 - 5.30PM

We may feel that we have no choice but to become overwhelmed or disheartened when we meet with difficult people or circumstances. Through regular meditation we can learn how to lift up our own mind and stay strong and positive in the face of life’s challenges. In this way we can discover our own potential to stay peaceful no matter what, which brings a sense of real confidence and stability into our life.
During this uplifting course, learn how to develop a realistic sense of optimism and offer advice on how to live with hope, resilience, and vision in an uncertain world.
No experience is necessary; everybody is welcome.

The first Saturday in April is set aside to commemorate the founding of NKT–IKBU by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche in 1991.
The occasion is marked by special events and by pujas and dedications at Kadampa centres worldwide. Prayers are made for the flourishing of Kadam Dharma throughout the world so that all living beings might quickly find permanent inner peace.
Above all, we remember the extraordinary kindness of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso in founding NKT–IKBU.
At KMC Edinburgh we will engage in special prayers with Wishfulfilling Jewel with tsog offerings 11am – 12.15pm and there will be an inspiring video presentation during this afternoon course.
