STABLE MIND, OPEN HEART
DAY RETREAT
SATURDAY 21 JUNE | 10am - 4PM
With Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Tubchen

“If we gaze at a perfectly cloudless, blue sky we will not prefer the east to the west or the west to the east. In the same way, when we gain the realization of equanimity we will not prefer some people to others. All beings will be equally important to us.”
Joyful Path of Good Fortune
During this special one day retreat, Gen Tubchen will introduce and guide powerful meditations on developing the pure and peaceful mind of equanimity. This balanced mind is free of neediness or expectations towards those we are easily attached to, free from indifference towards those we normally view as strangers and free from aversion or disappointment towards those we dislike. As a result we feel an equally warm and open feeling towards everyone and our mind is relaxed, accepting and at peace.
Combining short talks with extensive guided meditations this retreat day has the potential to be both deeply healing and profoundly transformational. We won’t just understand the benefits of equanimity but we will be able to practically experience them as we spend time in meditation holding our mind in a state of equanimity.
In this way we can come to discover for ourself how it feels to have a stable mind and an open heart. This beautiful mind leads us to appreciate all the people in our life, to nourish all our relationships with others and to experience deep fulfillment and contentment.
Treat yourself to a real break, both physically and mentally, and return home feeling refreshed and relaxed.
Everybody welcome
