Good mental health arises from a healthy and peaceful mind. To mark the importance of mental health awareness week we take a look at some tried and tested methods to cultivate a strong and peaceful mind.
Just as it is wise to maintain physical health, we all need to attend to our mental health. With good mental health we can cope with the challenges life poses, and grow into our potential, whilst poor mental health takes away our joy and fortitude.
Over recent years, ancient meditation techniques have become mainstream in society, and it is widely accepted as an important tool in maintaining and improving good mental health. In this course Gen Wangmo will discuss what mental health and meditation are, where our happiness and problems come from, learn simple meditation techniques, and consider how meditation can help us unlock our potential.

THE TEACHER
Gen Kelsang Wangmo has been studying and practising Kadampa Buddhism and ordained as a nun for over 20 years. Loved for her gentle and joyful approach and her sincere example, Gen Wangmo’s lighthearted yet profound teachings provide practical wisdom for modern daily life.
