Weekend Away Meditation Retreat - Stable Mind, Open Heart
AT KAILZIE GARDENS, PEEBLES
Friday 20 - Sunday 22 June
WITH GEN KELSANG WANGMO & KELSANG LHASANG
Join us for a relaxing weekend away in the countryside and get a taste of the deep peace that comes from turning within. Enjoy an relaxed schedule of meditations, practical teachings and time to rest and unwind. Spend time in personal reflection or connecting with like-minded people at the Courtyard café in the breaks or over dinner at the accommodation Kailzie Big Lodge.
The retreat sessions themselves will be held in a meditation room within the beautiful surroundings of Kailzie Gardens. a renowned 20 acres of gardens and woodland just a mile east of Peebles in the Scottish Borders. The gardens provide a rich variety of colour, charm and interest throughout the year, including a magnificent 19th century walled garden. They also have beautiful woodlands with burnside walks, a lake and stunning views in an intimate, peaceful atmosphere.
In the retreat sessions, Gen Kelsang Wangmo and Kelsang Lhasang will introduce and guide powerful meditations on developing equanimity – a balanced mind free of neediness to the people we like, free of aversion to the people we dislike, and free of indifference to people we view as strangers.
In this retreat, we will unpack together how our biases are created and through meditation create spaciousness and freedom to begin to relate to everyone with a balanced and accepting mind. This mind of equanimity is the solution to all of our problems. This beautiful mind leads us to appreciate all the people in our life, nourish those relationships and experience deep fulfillment and contentment.
Treat yourself to a real break, both physically and mentally, and return home feeling refreshed and relaxed. Everybody welcome.
