We do not always have the time, strength or inclination to maintain a formal meditation practice on a daily basis. But does that mean we have to miss out on the great benefits meditation brings to our life? With the help of Modern Buddhism, the answer to this question is definitely no!
We can experience inner peace and improve our human nature and qualities through developing the capacity of our mind. By incorporating the mental skills and wisdom-based practices taught in this course into our daily life – whilst at work, at home, in the car etc. we will discover that meditation can be every activity, bringing peace and a positive perspective to the seemingly mundane and resilience and compassion to the difficulties that come our way.

THE TEACHER
Chammy teaches the weekly Peebles class. She is originally from Sri Lanka and has been practising Kadampa Buddhism in the west for many years. Chammy draws from her experience as a working medical professional and mother of three to transmit Buddha’s teachings in a way that can easily be integrated into busy modern life. An experienced student studying the Foundation Programme, Chammy teaches occasional courses and events at the Centre and within the Scottish Borders. She is known for her kind heart, discerning wisdom and the clarity she brings to her teachings.
