Thirty-five Confession Buddhas
a spiritual practice for body, speech & mind
SATURDAY 8 March | 10AM - 3PM
a day course WITH resident teacher
Gen kelsang Wangmo

According to Buddha’s teachings on the law of karma, we all carry negativity in our mind from past actions performed whilst under the influence of painful mind states such as anger and craving. As a result of this negativity, we now experience fears, suffering and problems in our life. Buddha also taught that no matter how much negativity we harbour in our mind, we can purify it completely by engaging in purification practices such as the purification practice of the Thirty-five Confession Buddhas.
In this day course, Gen Kelsang Wangmo will give teachings on this powerful practice for purifying obstacles of body, speech and mind. We will learn how to apply these instructions in a light and joyful way and gradually develop a deep confidence and experience of their power to cleanse and uplift our mind.
We will learn how to visualize the Thirty-five Confession Buddhas, what each one helps us to purify, and the four powers (special mental intentions) to cultivate throughout the practice in order to actually purify our past negative actions and help us develop strong, mindfulness in our daily life that we can use to work to counteract bad habits of body, speech and mind. In the final session we will engage in a guided session of the actual practice to apply what we have learned and leave with confidence in our ability to do the practice ourselves.
No experience is necessary; everybody is welcome.
