Gen Kelsang Norden is the acting resident teacher of KMC Edinburgh. Gen Norden was ordained as a Buddhist nun in 1994 and has dedicated her life to teaching modern Buddhism and meditation throughout the U.S. and the U.K. She has been teaching for over 30 years and has a wealth of experience and knowledge to share with students, which she presents with humour, warmth and clarity.

Pay and display parking has recently been introduced into the local area around the Centre. However, there is no charge for street parking after 5.30pm on week days.
Tram networks to Newhaven are now fully operational with the nearest tram stop to the Centre being at Balfour Street, a few minutes walk away.
Buses also operate as normal down Leith Walk.

Kadampa Meditation Centre Edinburgh’s centre was opened in 2018 to provide a place of peace in the heart of Edinburgh.
Open five days a week and with a range of study and meditation programmes, everybody is welcome to attend a class,
visit the bookshop or simply enjoy tranquillity of the meditation room.
