Learn how to meditate
Four classes starting on 21 October in which we will learn the essential inner skills to become an effective meditator and will have the opportunity to practise using them in some guided meditations.
The classes are suitable for beginners and also experienced meditators who wish to get back to basics or refresh their meditation tools.
*space for in-person is limited to 12 people attending the course in-person
* We encourage you to follow government guidelines and wear a face mask inside the centre
About the teacher
Alma is the Resident Teacher for Meditate in Dumfries and Galloway.
She has been a dedicated disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over 20 years. Her Dharma practice and experience comes from many years of living in and working at Kadampa and Retreat Centres. She is kind, caring and approachable and her teachings are clear and easily understood. She is able to relate her teachings to the everyday lives of students to solve their daily problems.
Each class consists of:
two relaxing guided meditations
a short teaching on how to incorporate meditation and Buddhist principles into daily life
advice on how to integrate meditation into daily life

Kadampa Meditation Centre Edinburgh’s centre was opened in 2018 to provide a place of peace in the heart of Edinburgh.
Open six days a week and with a range of study and meditation programmes, everybody is welcome to attend a class,
visit the bookshop or simply enjoy tranquillity of the meditation room.
