Mahabodhi Kadampa Buddhist Centre, Edinburgh
Mahabodhi Kadampa Buddhist Centre is situated in the centre of Edinburgh, and acts as the focal point for Kadampa Buddhism throughout the east coast of Scotland and the Scottish Borders.
The centre houses both ordained and lay practitioners as well as the centre’s resident teacher,
The centre is open to the public and offers regular drop in meditations, day courses and in-depth study programmes, in an environment where everybody can peaceful states of mind. Courses cover a wide variety of topics, ranging from basic meditation techniques suitable for anybody on a drop-in basis through to dedicated retreats on specific aspects of Buddhism.
Mahabodhi supports a wide community of both lay and ordained practitioners, and acts as a focal point for both spiritual and social gatherings of this community through its regular classes, chanted prayers and other social events.
